It began as a report of a domestic disturbance for Saskatoon Police but it led to a weapons manufacturing investigation by the Guns and Gangs Unit. The Police Service reports that on July 24th around 9:30 in the morning, officers responded to the 100 block of Avenue U South and when they entered the home, several items consistent with the manufacturing of weapons were found inside.
A search warrant was authorized and executed, with a 3-D printer seized, along with several manufactured firearm parts, pepper spray and various electronic devices. A 25 year old man and 26 year old woman are charged with manufacturing a firearm, careless storage of a firearm, possession of a weapon without a license, among others.
