The execution of a warrant from a March assault has led the R-C-M-P to arrest and charge the same person with multiple charges in relation to a recent shooting in Nipawin.
On Tuesday, the Saskatchewan R-C-M-P’s Prince Albert General Investigation Section, along with officers from Nipawin R-C-M-P, arrested 29-year-old Denisha Bear of Nipawin after executing a warrant connected to a March 8th assault with a weapon investigation. Upon further investigation, Bear was charged with eight different counts in relation to a July 26th shooting that took place in a residence in Nipawin. The victim of the July 26 shooting remains in hospital with injuries described as life-threatening. Bear was scheduled to appear in Nipawin Provincial Court on Wednesday.
