On July 20th a search warrant was executed at a home in Wawanesa, Manitoba where 121 firearms were seized as well as several thousand rounds of ammunition, a large number of magazines of which many were loaded, three sets of body armour and paraphernalia that would be used in manufacturing firearms.
Of the firearms seized 53 were non restricted and 53 were restricted, four were prohibited, six were antiques and five were frames for firearms. Of those seized, 62 were long guns and 55 were handguns. One antique functioning cannon was also seized.
A 38-year-old man is facing multiple firearm charges and Manitoba RCMP say more charges could be pending.
