Elle Douglas is the only Saskatchewan member on the Canadian Under 18 girls’ rugby team that participated in the Youth Commonwealth Games this month on the Caribbean Island of Trinidad & Tobago.
Canada played very well during the round robin losing only once to Australia. The two teams met again in the gold medal final and unfortunately, the Auzzies came out on top again.
Douglas has been attending a rugby academy in British Columbia since she was fifteen and has set a long-term goal of becoming a member of the Canadian National Women’s rugby team. Elle will be enrolled at the University of Victoria this fall and be a member of the Vikes rugby club.
