A dangerous driving incident became an interprovincial RCMP investigation Sunday afternoon. Vermillion RCMP Traffic Services attempted to stop a white truck which had been tracked at 180 km/h on Highway 14, going through Irma, and police say the vehicle was also being driven erratically. Officers then received alerts of a dangerous driver ramming vehicle along Highway 17 outside of Wainwright.

A Tire Deflation Device was deployed, but it was reported the suspect avoided it and then drove towards police vehicles and into oncoming traffic, driving erratically on Highway 17. It then entered Saskatchewan and Unity RCMP were called in to help. This time, the tire deflation worked west of Unity and the vehicle went into the ditch. A lone male was taken into custody and the investigation continues.
