Saskatoon Police say officers were called to a disturbance on Saturday around 6:30 a.m. after security guards reported a man sleeping in a parking lot in the 100 block of 1st Avenue North.
Upon waking the male, he reportedly assaulted a guard, causing minor injuries. The 37-year-old victim detained the suspect until Police arrived and made an arrest. Police say officers located and seized two knives, a collapsible baton, methamphetamine and hydromorphone.
A 33-year-old man is charged with Assault, three counts of Possession of a Dangerous Weapon and two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance.
