The Saskatoon Blades are on the ice today with their 2023-24 Western Hockey League training camp, running through Sunday at SaskTel Centre. A total of 69 players are taking part with the four group practice sessions at 9:15, 10:15 and 11:15 a.m. plus 12:15 p.m. Kirkness Cup games go at 3:15 and 4:45 p.m. All on-ice camp activities are open to the public.
The Prince Albert Raiders open their 2023-24 Western Hockey League training camp today with player registration. On-ice sessions and games run tomorrow through Monday at the Art Hauser Centre.
The W-H-L pre-season begins Tuesday with Medicine Hat at Lethbridge. The Saskatoon Blades meet the Prince Albert Raiders Wednesday at the Jim Neilson Sports Complex on the Big River First Nation. First face-off is 1 p.m.

The field of 131 competitors has been reduced to 71, including three from Saskatchewan – Robin Acton of Lloydminster, Pauline McDougall of Prince Albert and Kathy Ziglo of Saskatoon – for today’s third and final round of the three-day, 54-hole stroke play event.
