Unlawful Confinement
Saskatoon Police say they were called to an apartment building in Sutherland where they found a 19 year old woman who had been injured. She claimed she’d been assaulted at the apartment and prevented from leaving. The call came in at 6:15 p.m. on Sunday from the 100 block of 111th Street West. Police say a 39 year old woman also located at the apartment was arrested in connection to the assault with a weapon and unlawful confinement. The 19 year old was treated for non-life threatening injuries by paramedics.
Stabbing
A 21 year old North Battleford woman is facing charges after stabbing in Saskatoon Friday night. Police were called to a home in the 300 block of Avenue D South around 9 p.m. and found a 61 year old man with stab wounds. He was taken to hospital. A suspect had fled the scene but officers located her nearby. They seized a knife and charged the 21 year old woman with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon and breach of probation.
