The Saskatchewan RCMP weekly report says officers from various detachments and units worked together to find an elderly man reported missing in the Creighton area on August 29th.
Around four that afternoon, Creighton RCMP were told the man had been picking berries on trails along Highway 106 and when officers arrived, they could hear a distant yelling and began searching on foot in the wooded area. An unmanned aircraft was launched, which hovered above the missing man until officers on the ground could make contact. Flin Flon officers on ATVs brought him back to safety around 8 in the evening. He was evaluated by EMS, but police say he didn’t need to go to the hospital.
The RCMP thanks the Ministry of Highways and Saskatchewan Highway Patrol, who also assisted in the search.
