The Regina Police Service says on Tuesday a staff member with the Saskatchewan Wheelchair Sports Association noticed a door was ajar on a trailer that belongs to the Association. As well a lock was broken.

At the time of the break-in, the trailer was located in a parking lot in the 500 block of Park Street. The break-in occurred sometime between September 3 and September 5, 2023.

Multiple pieces of equipment were missing from the trailer including five sport wheelchairs, 12 rugby balls, 12 basketballs, 12 hockey sticks and two bags. The value of these items is in the tens of thousands of dollars. The Regina Police notes that the items stolen are extremely specialized pieces of equipment for athletes with disabilities.
