A Regina man is facing more than 20 charges after a series of vehicle theft investigations by the Regina Police Service and the Saskatchewan RCMP over a ten day span in early August. The suspect is believed to be responsible for stealing nine vehicles from nine different locations in Regina and nearby communities. Regina Police say in each of the thefts, the vehicle doors were unlocked and the keys were inside.
RPS Inspector Cory Lindskog says, “Theft of auto is almost always a crime of opportunity. This investigation is an important reminder for the public to always lock vehicle doors and take the keys out of the vehicle.”
Twenty-one year old Ralph Keshane of Regina is facing charges that include nine counts of vehicle theft, along with dangerous driving, flight from police, and possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm obtained by crime.
