The job for Chief Marshal of the pending Marshal Service in Saskatchewan has now been posted. It closes September 24th.
The Government of Saskatchewan says once launched in 2026, the Marshal Service will have 70 officers, as well as additional support staff.
In a news release Corrections, Policing and Public Safety Minister Paul Merriman said, “We are committed to finding someone with the skills and experience required to operate a successful modern police service.”
The government says the Marshals will also provide support to the RCMP, First Nations police, municipal police services and the Provincial Protective Services.
