The two vehicles used in Monday evening’s attempted theft of vehicles from a property in the RM of Tramping Lake have been recovered, abandoned and damaged in the area of the Unity RCMP detachment.

The Unity RCMP continue to investigate the incident in which unknown individuals drove onto a property in the RM of Tramping Lake around 6 p.m. Monday and a witness saw them try to steal vehicles. The property owner followed the black truck as it fled and a second truck, a white Dodge, approached and fired a gun at the property owner, who was not harmed. The black pick-up truck was a 2013 GMC 2500 Denali while the white pickup truck was described as a white Dodge crew cab with an orange beacon on it. Anyone with information is asked to contact your local RCMP detachment immediately or in an emergency, call 911 and to submit information anonymously contact Crime Stoppers.
