The Saskatchewan RCMP’s North Battleford Crime Reduction Team is looking for a man after a police vehicle was heavily damaged. Officers report that Monday evening at around 7:15 officers attempted a traffic stop on Sturgeon Lake First Nation because the vehicle had been reported stolen from Christopher Lake on September 1st. The vehicle didn’t stop, and then around 8 that night, the vehicle was found outside a home in the Lac La Ronge Indian Band community of Little Red River.
A news release from the RCMP says a police vehicle pulled up behind it and one officer approached. It is alleged the vehicle reversed, ramming the police vehicle and then it drove forward toward the officer on foot, who had to jump out of the way to safety. Then the vehicle took off.
Twenty-seven-year-old Tyler Daniels is facing numerous charges include assault on a police officer with a weapon, dangerous driving, flight from police and possession of property obtained by crime. He is about 5’6″ and 140 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He has numerous tattoos, including praying hands and the words ‘Daniels’ and ‘family’ on his right forearm. If you see Tyler Daniels, the RCMP urges not to approach him and instead contact the police.
