RCMP are investigating multiple firearm related incidents on Big River First Nation since Monday.
Officers were called to a report of an injured male on Monday on the First Nation. He was taken to hospital with injuries described as serious. Police believe he was in a fight with another man who they have determined also approached two other homes on Big River First Nation and threatened the occupants in the homes with a gun. One incident occurred on September 18 and another on September 19.
These incidents are not considered random and residents of Big River First Nation may notice an increased police presence in the community while the investigation is underway.
The suspect is described as approximately 5’7″ tall and 170 pounds. He has dark hair and brown eyes, as well as tattoos on both temples. If you see the suspect, do not approach him. Anyone with information about these incidents or who see suspicious activity in the area, are asked to contact Big River RCMP or Crime Stoppers
