Saskatoon’s tenth annual Nuit Blanche night-time arts festival is coming up Saturday evening, but ahead of that on Friday night is Nuit Blanch Eve on the USask campus.
The Museum of Antiquities on campus is one of the venues for the Friday night free event. Spokesperson for the museum, Brianne Cipywnyk, calls it a teaser night ahead of the free festival on Saturday night at various venues and outdoor spaces throughout Saskatoon’s core neighbourhoods. For Nuit Blanch Eve, Cipywnuk says there a lot of venues on campus are participating, featuring student artwork. The Museum of Antiquities will have art on display, a trivia event and art supplies will be available for anyone who wants to do some sketching.
There are Nuit Blanche festivals held across the world. Saskatoon’s Nuit Blanche website describes it as a free night-time contemporary arts festival featuring projections, sculptural installations, performance, music, theatre and other contemporary art forms.
