The Saskatoon Police Service says a 51 year old woman has been charged with aggravated assaulted after a stabbing which the police do not believe was random in nature.
At 5:20 a.m. Thursday morning officers responded to an injured person call in the 400 block of 3rd Avenue North where they learned there had been a confrontation between two people that resulted in one person being stabbed.
The victim, also a 51-year-old woman, had left the scene and walked to police headquarters, a short distance away where she was then transported to hospital by paramedics for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect had remained at the business where the call originated and was arrested without incident.
