Sunday Regina Fire and Protective Services were urging the public to stay away from the area around the Pat Fiacco Plaza due to a fire. At 5:57 a.m., RFPS responded to a fire at a commercial building fire on the 2100 Block of 12th Ave.
Early Saturday morning, Moose Jaw’s police service and fire department responded to the report of a large fire. Two homes and several vehicles were destroyed at the Prairie Oasis Trailer Court on 9th Avenue Northeast. The call came in 12:45 a.m. and was declared out shortly before 6 a.m. Saturday. No injuries were reported.
The number of wildfires in the province has also spiked. As of Monday morning there are 36 wildfires burning and three are considered out of control.
