A 74-old-man has been charged following a six-month illegal tobacco investigation in Humboldt.

Humboldt RCMP executed a search warrant at a Humboldt residence last Friday. Officers located and seized more than 17,000 unstamped cigarettes.

Joseph John Therres of Humboldt is charged with one count of possession of unstamped tobacco for purpose of sale and possession of property obtained by crime under five thousand dollars.

Therres is scheduled to appear in Humboldt Provincial court on November 20th.

The Saskatchewan Safe Communities and Neighbourhoods (SCAN) Investigative Union and enforcement officers in the revenue divisions with the Saskatchewan Ministry of Finance assisted with this investigation.
