Members of the provincial NDP caucus met in Saskatoon to talk about the party’s strategy heading into the new session of the legislature on October 25th.
NDP Leader Carla Beck says healthcare and and the cost of living will be at the top of their agenda based on discussions with residents over the summer.
Beck says the Saskatchewan Party should be solving problems rather than causing divisions, referring to the pronoun debate in schools and teacher contract negotiations.
The provincial NDP says Saskatchewan has the worst hospital wait times in Canada and 200,00 residents do not have access to a family doctor. Beck says more emphasis needs to placed on keeping doctors and nurses working in Saskatchewan.
