Bo Levi Mitchell’s return to Hamilton’s starting line-up is happening Saturday in Regina.
The 33-year-old quarterback is listed as Q-B-1 on the team’s depth chart. Mitchell returned to practice this week and split first-team reps with Matthew Shiltz. Mitchell has been out of action since incurring a leg fracture on July 28 against Ottawa.
Meanwhile, the vast majority of Riderville’s attention this week has been on the passing of iconic running back George Reed as well as the induction of the 2013 Grey Cup-champion Saskatchewan team into the Roughriders’ Plaza of Honour. But, the current Green and White’s roster shuffling, due to injuries, continues for this week’s game against the Tiger-Cats. Off the roster is cornerback Jeremy Clark because of a knee injury, replaced by William Poole the Third. The Canadian-import ratio by position has been adjusted by the Riders with import T-J Brunson starting ahead of Canadian Micah Teitz at weak side linebacker, meaning three Canadians start at receiver with Samuel Emilus going ahead of import Tevin Jones at one wide receiver position, plus Mitch Picton and Kian Schaffer-Baker starting at slotback. In addition, back on the roster from injury are defensive lineman Anthony Lanier, running back Jamal Morrow and defensive back Diontae Williams. Game time Saturday is 5 o’clock.
