Saskatchewan RCMP say they are committed to maintaining public safety in Richmound. The self-appointed “Queen of Canada” and her supporters moved into town and it’s alleged there have been threatening letters sent to some local residents.
Romana Didulo is described as a Canadian far-right conspiracy theorist and cult leader, and one of the most prominent figures of the QAnon movement in this country. On September 24th, local residents protested Didulo’s presence, and it’s believed that’s why the alleged threats were sent. Didulo and her supporters, who are living in a closed school in the community, were also forced out of Kamsack in early September.
RCMP say they have received a number of calls for service related to the group’s presence and on Saturday a mobile temporary RCMP detachment was taken to Richmound. Saskatchewan RCMP says it will be staffed 24/7 and they will also conduct regular patrols in the community. Calls for service include the report of an assault, of threats and of suspicious persons and all, RCMP say, are under active investigation.
