Most people are trying to get out, but a 51-year-old man broke into the Regina Police Service early this morning (Wed). A news release from Regina Police says around 3 a.m., a man was seen in the front lobby who had broken a window to get in. While he was being arrested, officers say he tried to resist and his arm was injured, so he was transported to hospital by EMS and treated.
As is required by the Police Act, the Serious Incident Response Team was then notified. The Police Service was directed to continue the investigation and a SIRT Investigator would monitor. While police conducted their investigation, the Police Headquarters was closed to the public. The 51-year-old remains in custody and charges are pending.
