Cut Knife RCMP say they are investigating a suspicious death after answering a call on Monday afternoon.

Around 4:00 p.m. that day officers located a deceased individual in a rural area on Poundmaker First Nation.

With the assistance of the Saskatchewan Coroners Service, Major Crimes has determined the person who died was 31-year-old Lee Bearsears of Little Pine First Nation.

There is currently an increased police presence on Poundmaker First Nation and Little Pine First Nation in relation to this ongoing investigation.
