There is a new feature to this year’s Saskatoon Salvation Army Kettle Campaign.
Debit machines are available at the two Costco locations as well as the Coop’s at Centre Mall and Attridge Drive.
Community Outreach Coordinator Erin Haaland is hopeful they will help toward this year’s goal of 350-thousand dollars as they are about 11-percent behind last year’s total at this point.
Donations are also accepted on line and through the mail.
She points out all proceeds from the kettle campaign go toward programs for Saskatoon families and children.
Haaland says they have about 300 dedicated volunteers rotating through three-hour shifts, three times a day at the 17 locations, but they could use more.
Volunteers can sign up on line at salvationarmysaskatoon.org.
