The latest bi-weekly report on respiratory illness from the province indicates four people died who tested positive for COVID-19 in the reporting period of October 8th to the 21st.
That’s the same number of deaths as the previous two weeks.
In the previous report, 180 people with COVID were hospitalized and this report indicates 217.
ICU admissions increased from 16 to 17.
There were 23 COVID-19 outbreaks in high-risk settings in that reporting period and the number of positive tests for the virus increased from 345 in the week ending October 14th to 390 in the next week.
Influenza activity increased over the reporting period but remained below the inter-seasonal two per cent test positivity threshold.
Tests for RSV and other respiratory viruses decreased from 94 cases to 69 in the past month.
