The provincial NDP is disappointed in the federal government’s announcement that home heating oil will be exempt from the carbon tax for the next three years.

For the Atlantic provinces, this is the primary source of home heating, but it isn’t in Saskatchewan.
NDP Leader Carla Beck says all Canadians have been affected by rising costs and we all deserve relief.
She believes the exemption is a clear recognition that Canadians are struggling, however it offers no relief for Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Alberta.
