Investment in residential construction rose slightly at 0.9 per cent in Saskatchewan in October. Nationally it fell one percent. Only four provinces were able to manage increases. The other three were all larger than here. Total investment in the province came in at $160.8 million. On the non-residential side, Saskatchewan registered a three percent decline while the national average was a slight increase of 0.5 per cent. Seven provinces in all were in negative territory. Saskatchewan and Newfoundland and Labrador tied for the largest drop. Total investment here came to $127.1 million.
