A heavy coat the man was wearing probably saved him from more serious injuries as he was being stabbed Sunday morning. Saskatoon Police say, around 8:30, they were called to a robbery in-progress at a convenience store on the 33 hundred block of Fairlight Drive. An employee there reported three males entered the store, demanded cash, and began assaulting him. Additional officers were called in and they quickly located two suspects. One was arrested and the second was arrested a short time later after he tried to flee. Police allege that store surveillance shows suspects trying to stab the victim repeatedly. At least two suspects were armed with knives. The victim was taken to hospital by Medavie Health Services for treatment of injures that were not life-threatening. Two boys, aged 15 and 16, face charges including Robbery, and Possession of a Weapon Dangerous to the Public Peace. The third suspect is still at large.
