On Wednesday, just after 7 a.m., Indian Head RCMP received a report of a rolled coach bus on the Trans-Canada Highway east of Wolseley. Several occupants of the bus are being treated at the hospital for injuries. The RCMP say they don’t have further information on the number of injured or the extent of their injuries at this time.
Highway #1 is closed from Wolseley east to the Manitoba border due to poor road conditions. There is also a jackknifed semi in the westbound lanes of Highway #1 near Highway #35.
Meanwhile, a semi hauling B-train hopper cars, jackknifed in the north ditch near Holbein on Highway 3 between Shellbrook and Prince Albert. Traffic was moving in both directions but slowly.
And a City of Saskatoon sanding truck lost control going southbound around 2:30 a.m. on Circle Drive near the 33rd Street Exit. It crossed northbound lanes and ended up in the ditch. No other vehicles were involved, and no injuries reported. The city says vehicle has since been removed from the ditch; however, there was damage to the road barrier and there is currently a southbound lane restriction for repairs.
