The City of Saskatoon will have most of their leisure centres open during the holidays except for Christmas Day.
The Western Development will also be open during the last week of 2019 except for Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.
Jody Hauta, Manager of Recreation Facilities and Programs with the City of Saskatoon says most of the community volunteers that are charge of maintaining the local neighbourhood rinks should have them ready for residents to skate and play hockey on.
Hauta says you can check your local Community Association’s website to see when the rink is open or you can just simply stop by and see if you’re able to go for a skate.
He adds the Speed Skating Oval is ready to go for the season. You can visit the City’s website to see if the Oval is open.
The Remai Modern will be open everyday throughout the holidays except for Christmas Day and Monday the 30th.
The Western Development Museum is open everyday 9-5 except for Christmas, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day. The Museum will also close down early at 3 o’clock in Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.
