Wiens dives into October (SASKATOON) November 14, 2023 — Olympic diver Rylan Wiens has made waves with his performance at the 2023 Santiago Pan American Games, claiming second place and October Athlete of the Month honours. The Pike Lake diver won Canada an international silver medal in the men’s 10-metre platform event with partner Nathan Zsombor-Murray. The pair finished with 404.04 points, earning their place on the podium. Wiens competed in a second event at the Games, missing out on a bronze in the individual men’s 10m event with 449.15 points. Now, he looks ahead to achieving his goal of representing Canada at Paris 2024, after attending for Canada in 2020 in Tokyo. Rylan Wiens was nominated by Saskatoon Diving Club and supported by Dive Sask.
