SWAT Called Out

Emergency Services Teams were deployed in Regina around 5:30 p.m. on December 25th in connection to a weapons offence in the 12-hundred block of Rae Street. No details on the offence were provided but Crisis Negotiators, Special Weapons and Tactics, Canine as well as patrol officers were all on scene. Regina police say the investigation continues.

Weapons Offence

Regina Police were called to a robbery just before 4 a.m. on Christmas morning in the 1000 block of Pasqua Street. Police say a man entered the business and threatened the 25 year old employee with a knife. But as far as police can tell, nothing was taken. The suspect was track down via a taxi in which he reportedly left the scene. That was tracked down in the 900 block of Albert Street. 25 year old John Watkin is facing a weapons and drug charge as well as failing to comply with conditions of a release order.
