On Saturday officers from Prince Albert Police Service arrested Waylon Nelson in Prince Albert.  Waylon Nelson will appear in Prince Albert Provincial Court on November 27th.

A warrant has been issued for a 25- year-old man after a woman was injured on Montreal Lake Cree Nation early Friday morning Around 5:20 a.m. RCMP say there was an altercation between two people and a gun was fired. The woman was treated in hospital for injuries described as serious. The investigation continues.

As a result of continued police investigation by Waskesiu/Montreal Lake RCMP, Waylon Nelson of Montreal Lake Cree Nation has been charged with one count, discharge firearm with intent. Waskesiu/Montreal Lake RCMP are actively working to locate him.

Waylon Nelson is described as a 5’10” tall male, weighing approximately 194 lbs, with brown eyes and black hair.  Waylon Nelson is considered to be armed and dangerous. If he is seen, do not approach, and report this sighting to police by calling 9-1-1 immediately.
