Armed Robbery Eastern SK
RCMP are investigating after an armed robbery at a hotel in Canora on Christmas Eve. Around 9 pm, a man in a ski mask walked into the Lucky Lunn Hotel armed with a weapon. There is no word on what the robber took. He is described as 5’10” with a slim build. He was wearing a ski mask, a green or brown jacket and black winter boots. Anyone with information is asked to contact Canora RCMP or Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers.

Fatal Motel Fire in Southern Alberta
In the wee hours of Christmas morning, Cardston Alberta emergency services were called out to a motel on fire in Cardston. Police and fire started evacuating the building for those who didn t know it had caught fire and witnesses reported they d seen one occupant who hadn t left his room. Emergency crews got inside and say the man had been gravely injured : He was pronounced dead at the Chinook Regional Hospital. Cardston is about 80 kilometres southwest of Lethbridge.
Body found in Manitoba
Manitoba RCMP were called out Christmas Eve afternoon after a body was found. The call came in to the Neepawa detachment around 4 p.m. The area is approximately 200 kilometres northeast of Winnipeg. RCMP didn’t provide any other detail such as gender or age but do say their Major Crime Services, Forensic Identification Services and Manitoba First Nation Police Service are assisting in the investigation.
