Early Sunday morning, just after 4, La Loche RCMP responded to a report of an armed individual at a home in that community and determined an armed man was holding two females against their will. One of them was able to escape.  An RCMP news release says while officers were setting up a containment area around the house, a man left the home. He was arrested and a handgun was seized.

Twenty-eight-year-old Tremaine Dacres is charged with 19 offences, including aggravated assault and forcible confinement. He has been remanded into custody until his next court appearance in La Loche on December 4th.
