Saskatoon Police were called to a two-vehicle collision around seven o’clock on Thursday morning near 29th Street and Avenue H.
An SUV and a truck sustained heavy damage.
A preliminary investigation determined the truck was travelling northbound on Avenue H and was hit by a westbound SUV that failed to stop at a stop sign. The SUV narrowly missed a parked car and a house before ending up on a nearby front lawn.
Police report the SUV driver was displaying signs consistent with impairment. He was placed under arrest before being transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The truck driver was examined by paramedics before being medically released.

There was a second incident which led to impaired driving, evading police and breach of probation charges against a 34-year-old man from the One Arrow First Nation.
Just after midnight on Thursday, patrol officers stopped an SUV at Richardson Road and McClocklin Road. Officers noticed an open bottle of liquor in the front seat before the SUV sped away. A tire deflation device was used to stop the vehicle at Avenue D and 39th Street.
