Checking Parked Vehicles
Saskatoon Police say they were called out to a report of suspicious activity around 10 a.m. on Christmas Eve day. Witness reported two people checking parked vehicles in the 600 block of 6th Street East. Police tracked a couple of suspects to an alley just off Broadway Avenue and say a female had an imitation gun while a man had two machetes hidden in his pants. A 16 year old girl and a 19 year old man have been charged and the Saskatoon Police Service are thanking members of the public for calling in a report of suspicious activity.
Business Reports Suspicious Person in North Industrial Neighbourhood
Saskatoon Police are got a call around 4 o’clock on Christmas day to the 800 block of 46th Street East after a man had gone inside a business and was reportedly acting suspiciously before leaving on foot.
A man carrying a bag and matching the suspect description was spotted in the area. Police seized two loaded, sawed-off rifles, a knife and methamphetamine. A 20 year old man, already wanted on outstanding warrants, is facing 19 charges in connection to this incident.
Suspicious Activity In Avenue P Apartment Building
Saskatoon Police say a 36 year old man is facing charge after a report of a man carrying a gun inside an apartment building in the 100 block of Avenue P South. When officers arrived they say they noticed a man matching the suspect description leaving the building. Officers say he was wanted on several outstanding warrants from Saskatoon and Prince Albert. Police seized several pieces of female identification and methamphetamine but no gun. The 36 year old from Saskatoon is facings charges of possession of identity information belonging to another person, possession of a controlled substance and failing to appear in court.
