It was the 2nd Annual Toque and Mitt toss at Merlis Belsher Place for MHKY, and they got started on the right note by scoring the first goal to launch the toques and mitts onto the ice thanks to Chantz Petruic on the power-play, but would give up five unanswered in the second period including two markers from the Canada West points leader Connor Bouchard.
Bouchard would end the night with 4 goals and 5 points for Mount Royal on their way to a 7-4 victory over the Huskies, who also dropped the weekend series. Carter Stebbings and Colby Jaquet each had 2 points for the Dogs in the loss.
The Huskies now go into the academic break and will return to action shortly after the New Year in another edition of the U-Prairie Challenge against provincial rivals, the Regina Cougars.
