A 36-year-old Saskatoon man has died after what appears to be the city’s most recent homicide.
At 4:20 pm on Saturday, patrol officers responded to a call of an injured person in a business parking lot on the 1600 block of 20th Street West. Upon arrival, officers located a man who had succumbed to a serious injury.
Responding patrol members were able to determine the suspect’s description, who was then located nearby a short time later, and taken into custody without further incident.
A 23-year-old Saskatoon man has been charged with 2nd degree murder, along with two breach of probation charges and one breach of undertaking. He was scheduled to appear before a Justice of the Peace this morning.
Members of the Major Crime Section and Forensic Identification Section are continuing to investigate.
