A 34 year old man who was an inmate at the Saskatoon Correctional Centre was declared dead on Saturday morning. The Ministry of Corrections, Policing and Public Safety says he was found unresponsive in his cell and Corrections staff initiated life saving measures and called EMS. He was declared dead at 10:30 in the morning.
No foul play is suspected at this time. The Saskatoon Police Service and Saskatchewan Coroners Service are investigating, and the Ministry of Corrections is conducting an internal investigation.
