Nine communities in Saskatchewan will benefit from over $13.5 million of infrastructure project funding from the governments of Canada and Saskatchewan.
According to a shared news release from the two levels, the federal government is investing nearly $8.9 million and the province is contributing over $4.7 million to support five recreation projects and four green infrastructure projects across Saskatchewan. The nine projects will enhance access to recreational activities, promote reconciliation with Indigenous communities, ensure accessible and reliable water supply and foster inclusive and sustainable communities for years to come. The funds are made available through the Community, Culture and Recreation Stream (CCRIS) and the Green Infrastructure Stream (GIS).
