A Regina doctor is facing fraud charges.

Regina Police Service says their lengthy and detailed investigation resulted in 53-year-old Dr. Oghenerukevwe Ugwumba being charged with Fraud Over $5,000; Theft Over $5,000; Identity Theft; Criminal Breach of Trust.

Investigators began looking into the file after the Ministry of Health reported what they believed to be billing irregularities from a doctor who owns a practice in Regina. The offences occurred between 2016 until 2019.

The doctor turned herself into police on November 27th.
