The value of Saskatchewan’s building permits in October rose by almost 46 per cent compared to October of last year, reaching $204 million according to Statistics Canada.
From September to October the value was down nine per cent.
Only Prince Edward Island had a higher rise year-over-year at a 147 per cent increase to $44.3 million.
In Saskatoon the overall value of building permits made up more than half the provincial total in dollar value. It rose by just over 31 per cent from October of 2022 to 23, for a total of $103.7 million.
Regina’s building permits rose by just over 33 per cent, landing at 37.1 million.
