The Moose Jaw Police Service (MJPS) have arrested a man wanted on a Canada-wide warrant, facing a laundry list of charges.
Thirty-eight-year-old Justin Thompson was arrested at about 9:15 p.m. on December 13 when the MJPS executed a vehicle stop on the 400 block of Caribou Street West. Thompson, who was a passenger in the vehicle, attemped to flee on foot, but was apprehended and arrested a short time later. Officers seized 56.8 grams of methamphetamine and $960 in Canadian currency in Thompson’s possession. The next day, the MJPS Criminal Investigation Section and Community Policing Division executed a search warrant at a residence on the 800 block of Monk Avenue where it was believed Thompson was staying while in Moose Jaw. Police seized a sawed-off 12-gauge shotgun, a buck knife, 14 grams of cannabis, 26.9 grams of psilocybin, 66.8 grams of MDMA/ecstasy, 18 grams of methamphetamine, 56 capsules of Concerta, 10 capsules of Xanax, 18.9 grams of cocaine, 13 capsules of MDMA/ecstasy and drug trafficking parapheranlia. Thompson has been remanded and will make his first appearance in Moose Jaw Provincial Court on Wednesday.
