The lack of snow is killing business at Saskatchewan ski hills—-but it is not impacting another winter recreation favorite in Saskatoon.

The Cameco Meewasin Skating Rink opens to the public at noon on Wednesday (today).

The rink sits north of the Delta Bessborough Hotel in Kiwanis Memorial Park. There is no admission charge and skating is on a first-come, first serve basis. Visitors should bring their own skates if possible because there are a limited number of skates on site.

Winter skating hours will be noon to 8pm Wednesday through Sunday.
