You have to travel to Waskesiu before there is at least 10 centimetres of snow cover.
All areas to the south are less than that—with many locations between 0 and 2 centimetres. Environment Canada says to qualify as an official “white Christmas” there has to be at least two centimetres of snow at an official measuring site.
The last brown Christmas in Saskatoon occurred in 2018.
You can still go trudging through the snow, but it will require a long drive or even flight north.
There is 17 centimetres of snow cover at Buffalo Narrows, 26 centimetres at Key Lake and 33 centimetres in Uranium City.
