The province is supporting 14 new addictions treatment spaces in Saskatoon at the Possibilities Recovery Centre – ten are for adults and four for youth. The Centre’s Executive Director, Tanner Perratt, says their waitlist grew quickly when the first 18 spots were announced, so these 14 additional spaces will help with that demand.
In a news release, the province says Possibilities Recovery Centre was chosen through a competitive Request For Proposals process. There are now 567 pre-treatment, detoxification, treatment, and post-treatment beds across the province operated by the Saskatchewan Health Authority and its third-party partners. Negotiations are underway for more spaces to be announced in the coming months.
