The Prince Albert Fire Department responded to a fire this morning (Mon), which caused significant damage to a business on 48th Street West in the RM of Prince Albert. Emergency crews responded just before 8.

The Prince Albert RCMP reports that the fire appears to have been deliberately set. A person of interest was arrested in Prince Albert around 9:30 a.m., however no charges have been laid as the investigation continues with assistance from the Saskatchewan RCMP’s General Investigation Section and fire investigators from the Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency. Anyone with information is asked to contact the police or submit an anonymous tip through Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers.
