The City of Saskatoon’s Property Assessment Roll opens for public inspection today (thurs). You can have a look between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm excluding weekends and stat holidays. All required Assessment Notices will be mailed to property owners requiring them starting today.
The roll remains open until February third.
Residents are encouraged to visit the City’s online Property Assessment & Tax Tool.
If you would like to speak with an assessor about your property’s assessment, tax class, or exemption status, call 306-975-3227. Most assessment-related inquiries can be resolved by speaking with an assessor prior to filing a formal appeal with required fees.
If you choose to file a formal appeal with the Saskatoon Board of Revision, information on the appeal process is located on the back of your Assessment Notice. Find additional information on the City’s website saskatoon.ca/assessment.
Your Notice of Appeal and the accompanying fee must be received during the 30-Day Customer Review Period, open January 2, 2020 – February 3, 2020.
Mail or deliver your Assessment Appeal and accompanying fee to:
The Secretary, Board of Revision
c/o City Clerk’s Office
222 3rd Ave North
Saskatoon, Saskatchewan S7K 0J5
Residents are reminded that property taxes cannot be appealed during the 30-Day Customer Review Period. The 2020 Property Tax Notices will be mailed in May, 2020.
The helpful video Understanding Residential Property Assessment gives details about the factors used to determine the assessed value of residential properties.
